After helping his team to a 2-1 away victory over Osasuna, Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Juan Musso shared his frustration with the constant complaining from the opposition players.
On Osasuna’s behavior
They complained throughout the entire match, especially the fans—it was really annoying. Every ball was a reason to shout, and they fell down at the slightest contact. We played well, even when we were down to ten men. Their antics didn’t help them.
On his own performance
I feel great. I always feel comfortable in this team. I really like my teammates and the club. I’m happy to be able to help the team and secure the win.
On the overturned penalty for Osasuna
We knew it wasn’t a penalty. Those are marginal decisions, and the referee shouldn’t have awarded it in the first place when there was doubt. I spoke with him about it—it happened very quickly and was complicated. Thankfully, VAR handled it correctly.
On the victory
Every time we put on this jersey, we give our all and try to bring joy to everyone. We represent the club and this great badge. Even though we can’t fight for the title, we will give everything in every match.
