Yuri Zhirkov, the head coach of Dynamo Moscow, shared how the team was prepared for the clash against Krasnodar in the 29th round of the 2025/2026 Mir Russian Premier League season. The White-and-Blues secured a 2-1 victory.
The match ended 2-1 in favor of Dynamo, with goals from Costa (32′), Tyukavin (48′), and Sergeev (90+3′).
“We told the players before the match that we had suffered a bitter defeat to Krasnodar in the Cup. We had to turn that around and win. The message was that we can compete with all the league leaders and put in a worthy performance,” Zhirkov said, as relayed by Championat correspondent Andrey Pankov.
Currently, Dynamo Moscow sits in eighth place in the Russian league standings with 42 points, while Krasnodar holds second with 63 points. Zenit leads the table with 65 points.
